Calling all superheroes! Relay For Life returns to Hamilton in 2019, and we need everyday heroes like YOU to help us provide support for Kiwis living with cancer.

What is Relay For Life?

Relay For Life is an inspirational and fun team event that brings people together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer and fight back by raising awareness and funds for the Cancer Society.

Team members take turns walking or running around a track while enjoying a carnival atmosphere of music, entertainment and community spirit. Everyone and anyone can get involved, so gather your friends, family and workmates and get your team together today!

How do I get involved?

Click on the ‘Register’ button to get started.

Team Captains register their team of up to 10 superheroes for $200. We’ll send you an info pack and a team promo code so team members can set up their individual fundraising page at no cost (you can expect to hear from us within two business days).

Got more than 10 members? No problem. Team Captains can purchase additional promo codes when they register, or individuals can opt to pay $20 when they join an existing team.

Registration includes:

  • Eligibility to participate in Relay

  • 12 hours of non-stop entertainment

  • A tent site for your team to relax and soak up the atmosphere

  • A candlebag for the evening remembrance ceremony

  • Eligibility to win spot prizes on the day

What happens next?

Once you’ve created your individual fundraising page you can start raising funds for the Cancer Society. Every dollar you raise helps people affected by cancer in your community.

Relay For Life participants raise on average at least $200 per person. That’s enough to help a volunteer driver transport someone to three weeks of daily radiation treatment! Learn more about the vital services delivered by the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Cancer Society
