Calling all superheroes! Relay For Life returns to Hamilton in 2019, and we need everyday heroes like YOU to help us provide support for Kiwis living with cancer.

What is Relay For Life?

Relay For Life is an inspirational and fun team event that brings people together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer and fight back by raising awareness and funds for the Cancer Society.

Team members take turns walking or running around a track while enjoying a carnival atmosphere of music, entertainment and community spirit. Everyone and anyone can get involved, so gather your friends, family and workmates and get your team together today!

How do I get involved?

ONLINE REGISTRATIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED - but please get in touch at and our Relay For Life team will help get you set up and ready to go.

Registering a team of up to 10 superheroes costs just $200. Got more than 10 members? No problem. Additional members are just $20 each.

Registration includes:

  • Eligibility to participate in Relay

  • 12 hours of non-stop entertainment

  • A tent site for your team to relax and soak up the atmosphere

  • A candlebag for the evening remembrance ceremony

  • Eligibility to win spot prizes on the day

After you've registered your team, pop into the Cancer Society office on the corner of Beale and Grey Streets, Hamilton East to pick up your team pack, which includes your entry wristbands, baton, candle bags and event programme.

What happens next?

Create your individual online fundraising page and start raising funds for the Cancer Society. Every dollar you raise helps people affected by cancer in your community.

Relay For Life participants raise on average at least $200 per person. That’s enough to help a volunteer driver transport someone to three weeks of daily radiation treatment! Learn more about the vital services delivered by the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Cancer Society

Questions? Don’t hesitate to email or phone our Hamilton office 07 903 5811.

Don’t miss out on important Relay For Life updates! Join our event on Facebook.

Missed the Team Meeting on Wednesday 13 March? No problem. Check out the Event Programme and the Team Meeting presentation slides.
