The 2017 Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon will again be helping raise awareness and funds to support the organisation that supports people with bowel cancer. In 2016 just over $30000 was raised for Bowel Cancer New Zealand so the aim is to repeat or even better that in 2017.
Bowel Cancer New Zealand is committed to reducing the impact of bowel cancer on our community through awareness, education and support.
New Zealand has one of the highest incidences of bowel cancer in the world and bowel cancer is our most common form of cancer. Each year about 3000 people are diagnosed with the disease and more than 1200 will die as a result-that’s more than 100 New Zealanders dying every month-men and women, young and old.
Bowel Cancer New Zealand
We are a national patient and family-led charity aiming to reduce the impact of bowel cancer on the New Zealand community through awareness, education, support, research and promotion of access to appropriate screening and treatments. Through our work we aim to save lives from the second biggest cancer killer in New Zealand.
