From small-scale gestures to company-wide initiatives, workplace fundraising takes many forms; from hosting events to donating goods and time, reaching new targets, achieving more and having fun as a team while enabling better services for your wider community. Choosing St John as your charity shows your customers you care and are prepared to give back to your local community!
There are so many ways that businesses of all shapes and sizes all over the country raise money for St John. Support can start as small as a workplace morning tea and goes through a huge range of activities that people undertake to show their support.
Z Energy Rangiora Mini-tanker Station drivers donated $1000 to St John in the belief that accidents and emergencies can happen anywhere, anytime and they appreciate knowing St John will be there. Many workplaces also simply opt for payroll giving so anyone who wants to support St John can debit a regular amount from their pay.
Some companies believe that everyone in the workplace should have some level of first aid ability and actively encourage their staff to participate in one of our first aid courses. Having the knowledge and confidence to provide effective first aid can make a difference in achieving better health outcomes when accidents or the unexpected occurs. Last year, workplace giving helped support the lives of a million Kiwi who were cared for or served by St John.
Our fundraising team is always on hand to discuss your ideas or help you find the best option for you and your staff – we never say never! Please do not hesitate to contact us on 0800 ST JOHN (0800 785646) or email fundraising@stjohn.org.nz.
